SUMMARY:The Future of Not-For-Profits: Surviving and Thriving in a post COVID-19 World
DESCRIPTION:Join us at 7pm on the 2nd of December for our panel discussion event with the Not-For-Profit sector\, as we discuss the impacts of COVID-19! \nIt goes without saying that COVID-19 has impacted everyone worldwide. The Not-For-Profit sector particularly\, has had to adapt to these unprecedented changes. This panel discussion\, hosted by UNAAV YP and 180 Degrees Consulting hopes to engage with organisations within the NFP sector to ask them exactly how they’ve been impacted and how they’ve had to create and reform their strategies and every day work. The NFP is a vital sector in society\, as many organisations seek to reduce inequalities and ensure that individuals and communities’ needs are met. We hope to strengthen and support the NFP community as they transition towards a post COVID-19 world. \n  \nEvent speakers: \nChristine Diamond – Melbourne City Mission \n\nChristine has been in the not-for-profit sector for over 14 years and has worked in fundraising. Christine is determined to build strong\, emotionally intelligent\, intuitively responsive fundraising leaders to support the sector far into the future. Christine works for Melbourne City Mission\, who empowers and supports “people to develop their own path away from disadvantage\, towards living their best life.” MCM has helped young people experiencing homelessness. \nScott Watters – Life Changer \n\n“LifeChanger Foundation maximises the potential of all young Australians by providing the resources\, skills\, education and pathway they need to develop a positive self-identity.” \n  \nAmanda Carlile – Fitted for Work \n\nAmanda has two decades of hands-on experience leading teams of volunteers and paid staff in organisations that support humanitarian disaster relief\, people living with mental illness\, women trafficked into the sex industry and women facing disadvantage. Amanda is passionate and dedicated to encourage women in the workplace to thrive through developing and utilising skills that are intrinsically theirs. Amanda works for Fitted for Work\, a not-for-profit that helps Australian women experiencing disadvantage get work\, keep work and strive at work. Fitted for Work believes in a future that is equal\, positive and powerful for women in the workplace. Their goal is to provide women with practical skills\, knowledge\, self-esteem and know-how so that they can move forward with confidence in the workplace.
