SUMMARY:The Future We Want: World Refugee Day 2020
DESCRIPTION:Join us at our upcoming webinar – The Future We Want: World Refugee Day 2020. This online webinar will unpack the key issues surrounding refugees and asylum seekers\, and celebrate the work of refugee advocates and community leaders here in Brisbane. \nIn our third annual World Refugee Day Event\, our panel will engage the issues of refugee and asylum seeker rights\, the current Australian political and legal landscape\, the morality of detention centres and community action. Most importantly\, we seek to shine a light on the incredible work being done in Brisbane and energise young professionals to join this important cause. \nDuring these especially difficult times\, we recognise the vital work of those in the humanitarian sector who protect human life. Our event will engage the issues\, create discussion between experts and the community\, and inspire the change we need to make the next decade one of compassion and justice. We hear from activists and change-makers to understand their thoughts on what is important\, what should be changed and how we can help. \nJoin us online for an engaging panel conversation and interactive Q&A. Bring along your questions and prepare to engage in creating a future we can all be proud of. \nFind out more online.   \n
