UNAA Patrons

The UNAA is proud to have the support of National Patrons, His Excellency General, the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC and Her Excellency, Lady Linda Hurley. The UNAA is grateful for the support from our National Patrons as well as previous Patrons, most recently previous Governor-General, General Sir Peter Cosgrove AK CVO MC. Across Australia, the UNAA is also supported by state Governors as Patrons of our state Divisions. You can find out more about the Governor-General and Lady Hurley at the Governor-General’s website here.

UNAA Patrons Message to Australians

Message to Australians on the importance of the United Nations and the work of the UNAA, from the Governor-General and Lady Hurley.

Now more than ever, we need your support

With the COVID19 crisis and in the UN’s 75th year, we believe our work to promote the critical role of the UN in maintaining the rules-based order, is as important as ever. The UNAA is a founding member of the World Federation of United Nations Associations and we have a proud history, dating back to 1946.

Like many in our community though, we are struggling with the significant impact of COVID19 and face an uncertain future. Our events, major Partnerships Forum and partner activities are on hold and so we are holding events online where we can and engaging with our members in different ways. We are also doing everything we can in order to support ourselves and remain sustainable, so we are able to continue to inform, inspire and engage Australians on the work of the UN.

As our Patrons mention in the video above, the work of the UNAA has perhaps never been more important. Now more than ever we need your support and you can donate today by clicking below. All donations, no matter the amount, will help the UNAA survive and continue the work of the UNAA to promote the United Nations in Australia and create a safer, fairer, more sustainable world.
