Legal and Protection Enquiries: Please note that the UNAA does not handle legal and protection enquiries (e.g. individual asylum/refugee/visa matters). If you have an enquiry of this nature you need to contact the UNHCR Regional Office in Canberra.
Fraud & Scam Alert: The UNAA is aware of various schemes being circulated via the internet, email, regular mail and fax, falsely stating that they are issued by or associated with the UNAA or United Nations. These schemes take many forms such lottery scams, employment scams, identity theft scams, online relationship scams, travel scams and money transfer scams. New scams are appearing with increasing frequency. Please be careful and report all scams to the Australian Government’s Scam Watch service and/or the Australia Cybercrime Online Reporting Network (ACORN). Remember if it feels like a scam it probably is a scam.
Human Rights Complaints: Please note that the UNAA does not handle individual Australian citizen complaints about discrimination or human rights breaches. If you have a complaint of this nature you need to contact the Australian Human Rights Commission.
