UN KidsUNAA Queensland: How can you get involved?

Individuals, organisations and businesses are invited to become members and volunteers of the United Nations Association in Queensland. You will join a group of like-minded people who believe in human rights, promote social progress and fight for justice in seeking to build a world in which people live in peace and security and poverty is alleviated.

By becoming a member you can be assured that you will be helping to drive and promote the UN vision according to the principles of the United Nations recorded in the UN Charter.

Benefits of Membership

As an independent, not-for-profit organisation, UNAA relies on memberships, donations and support to achieve these visions.  In many cases, a decision to join any organisation is based on a two way contribution.

UNAA offers its members the opportunity to help make the world a better and happier place through regular updated information, representations and participation in events, conferences, and meetings. The best way is to become a member of the Association.

Membership will provide you with a direct link to the Association. It will enable you to keep up-to-date with global programs of the UN as well as local UNAA activities with the opportunity to meet and engage with other members at our various events.

You will receive the monthly UNAA Queensland e-newsletter, which includes regular updates on the Association’s programs and activities, news and events as well as current issues. You will also receive the national UNAA weekly newsletter, UNAA News, which will keep you informed on the latest United Nations related information.

Volunteering

The Association relies on the dedication of volunteers who assist us with the running of our programs throughout the year.

Bequest or Legacy

A bequest or legacy to the UNAA Queensland in your Will is a wonderful way of making a significant contribution to help us continue promoting the programs and principles of the United Nations and providing community education and information services to future generations. By including the UNAA Queensland in your Will now, you can express your commitment to the aims and ideals of the United Nations.

Bequests provide an invaluable form of support and allow us to provide many services that would otherwise not have been possible. There are a variety of bequests you can make. You may choose to leave: a specific sum of money; a percentage of your estate; a residual bequest; a gift of property, shares, artwork or insurance policies. The UNAA Queensland welcomes bequests of any type.

It is very easy to make the UNAA Queensland one of your beneficiaries. Please let us know of your decision to leave a bequest. By advising us of your intentions you will help us plan for the future and allow us to thank you personally.
